I was lucky enough to travel to France in 2019 with my mum + brother in which was in fact the last trip I took before the world stopped with the pandemic. I have been to Paris numerous times over the years, each time getting to explore and learn more about the city, and it never disappoints!
This trip mostly consistent of croissants + Aperol Spritz's, and that is definitely not a bad way to spend your summer days in Paris. We also did an amazing walking tour around Montmartre, which I highly recommend! We did then fall into the trap of getting our paintings drawn at the "Place du Tertre" and ended up with a very expense painting of myself that let's just say I was slightly offended about. Nonetheless, was a great day!
I've been learning French since I was young and worked up the courage to order coffee and croissants (I know right, huge!) my first day there and boy did I feel cool, I think she may even have believed I could speak French until I had to ask her what she meant by 'comptant ou carte' (Cash or card) - in retrospect I probably should've gotten that.
If you want to go to the most gram worthy restaurant in Paris, then I highly recommend "Pink Mamma" in the 9th arrondissement. That's me on the beautiful staircase in the restaurant below:
I decided I wanted to document my whole France trip on my old video camera that I got as a birthday present as a kid. However it was met with an unfortunate fate when it had an incident with a leaking water bottle, so I could only film the first part of my trip. Alas, I still got to capture some beautiful moments with my mum + brother in the city of love.
Until next time Paris...Bisous xx
